The Meindl Ontario GTX walking shoe is a versatile shoe performing equally well on off-road hikes as it does in urban and city landscapes. Made from suede and mesh, the uppers are breathable yet resistant and come equipped with a GORE-TEX lining for waterproof protection. The accompanying Air-Active footbed ensures the foot is kept dry and the shoe is well ventilated at all times. The Variofix lacing system aids support, pulling the heel to the back of the shoe, giving an excellent fit and a secure hold around the ankle. The Ontario GTX comes equipped with a Meindl Magic Active sole giving the perfect amount of traction for easy to moderate terrain. An ideal all-round walking shoe.

Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.

In-stock items are dispatched the same day if ordered before 2pm (Monday - Friday) or the next working day if ordered after 2pm or on a weekend.
Deliveries are normally next working day for orders over £100. If under £100, we sometimes use a 48 hour service. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service at the checkout.
Special Order items are dispatched within the timescales displayed after selecting your size.
Most orders are dispatched using DPD Next Working Day.
We use Royal Mail for the more remote parts of Scotland, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Please allow a little extra time for delivery in these areas.
For orders under £60, we normally dispatch using Royal Mail 48 with delivery being made in 2 to 3 days. You will have the option to upgrade to a next day service in the checkout.
A tracking number will be emailed to you for all orders over £100 on the day of dispatch.
For orders under £100 dispatched using an untracked economy service, a reference number will be emailed, but you will not get full tracking, only confirmation once delivery has been attempted.
Sometimes you will see 'Special Order' when selecting your size. For these items, we will dispatch once we have received them from our supplier.
An estimated lead time will be displayed for Special Order items.
Yes, returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase so long as it is unused and still in it's original packaging*.
You can return for an exchange or refund. Return postage is at your own cost.

Love these walking shoes ,on my 3rd pair , bit annoyed this time , the grey suede a bit lumpy, usually smooth , should have returned them , too late now , I think it really affects their look ,
These are super comfortable , lightweight, well made and waterproof too. They are easily adapted if you have to have orthotics changes. Only criticism, can we obtain the same laces in the UK?
Love this ladies walking shoe . This is my second pair which had done an awful lot of miles . So comfortable on the hills , but can still be worn in the town .
My second pair of these shoes based on extensive use of the first pair and the ability to be used off road or in a more leisure setting. The first pair now finally reaching ‘end of life’ but I was clear that direct replacement was the right choice.

These shoes are fantastic. I have a circulation issue in my left lower leg. Some footwear I just don’t get on with. These are fantastic and I’ve currently got a third pair on order
Replaced, or rather supplemented my old Meindl Ontario’s which I regard as the most comfortable and hard wearing hiking footwear I have owned. The new pair are equally good in all respects and the previous pair are still giving good service when I visit my daughter in Devon where they now have a home.
