The Meindl Vakuum GTX is a high quality hill-walking boot that incorporates Meindl Vakuum technologies to provide a personalised fit and superb comfort. Following tradition, the Vakuum GTX is constructed by hand in Meindl’s German factory using the finest quality Nubuck leather, giving durability whilst maintaining suppleness. An additional rubber band around the boot enhances protection across all terrains. The Meindl Vakuum technology provides a Memory Foam System throughout the uppers and footbed, using body heat to mold to your foot and give you a customised fit. This provides support and comfort whilst reducing pressure on the Achilles when walking downhill. The Digafix lacing system enables for the laces to be adjusted for hill-walking, further enhancing comfort and providing a secure hold. Equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane to guarantee waterproofing, an Air-Active footbed for breathability, and a Meindl Multigriff rubber sole (developed with Vibram) for excellent grip, this walking boot is suitable for hill-walking all year-round.

Ordered size uk10.5 with some confidence having had a pair of Meindl Mid GTX suede lighter weight boots. After several years the GTX membrane has perished on the suede boots before the boots which are still great. The Vakuums were a special order from Germany but arrived in 2-3weeks before Xmas not the 5 estimated.
Very sturdy and comfortable for me out of the box as expected. The boots are Grade 2 higher hillwalking boots, expensive very well made and good value. Some other higher end brands I have found too narrow a fit for me.Id recommend trying different brands though Scarpa etc. (which were too narrow for me) I expect these Vakuums to serve me well for many years
Boots are exceptionaly comfortable and fit great. The lase system works very well and the quality is very, very good. Hope they last as long as my last pair did.
Hill and Dales customer service was also exceptional. I had to per order these boot over email and I got them no problem!
Excellent comfortable boots. Hill and Dale contacted me regarding delivery time, good communication and competitive pricing.
Owned the Burma pros for 10+ years previous to the vakuum. These are defo comfier. Longevity yet to be seen but if they get anywhere close to the burmas I’ll be happy.
3rd pair do I need to say more !!!
Have only worn them a couple of times but they are a great boot and give excellent support and grip. Hill and Dale provided outstanding service as ever.
Yes definitely, this has been a dream.
Thank you very much 🤙
Excellent delivery time. Prompt and friendly customer service. Great price.
Meindl Vakuum GTX MFS Mens Walking Boots - Dark Brown
Excellent well made boots very comfortable and look great.
True to size , not too narrow , superb comfort , good support ,. After trying on lots of boots for me the Vacuum hit the spot for me. I preferred the feel of the sole compared to the Bhutan which seemed to have more of defined edge across the ball area of the foot.
